     Hi Administrators,

                      I installed hmp v 11.0 in my local machine and hosted the helpmaster web interface also successfully. Now i want to use the active directory features in the helpmaster. I started the helpmaster Active Directory manager . In Open menu. I clicked HM active direcotry services setup. Followed the help file and tried to start the service in the Windows service view. When i tried that ... I got this error in the event view ... "Service cannot be started. The service process could not connect to the service controller".

    Cheers,

    Chandra.

    Hi Chandrasekar,

    Yes, you definitely do need to enable OLE Automation and run the script to grant the Service Logon Account permissions to the system Stored Procedures as outlined in the online help file prior to starting the service;

    http://www.helpmasterpro.com/helpfi...htm#Active Directory/HTML Files/System configuration.htm

    Please also ensure that you are logged onto the machine with the Service Logon Account (account used to logon to the service) after it has been granted LOCAL ADMIN rights (Domain Admin is not sufficient), and that it has been granted minimum database permissions as per the Knowledge Base articles below;
