Hi

I think I have an issue with email manager attachments. We are using HMP to liaise with an external contractor.

Scenario:

1. A job with an attachment is emailed to the helpdesk via email manager. This is done by a staff member.

2. Email Manager logs the job, with the attachment, and sends a notification email to the contractor - with the attachment (I use <Job_JobAttachments_Attach>) - No problem. The attachment appears in the job. Cool.

3. The contractor responds to the email received - without an attachment - back to the helpdesk

4. Email manager processes the response email and sends a notification to the original staff member. I include <Job_JobAttachments_Attach> tag in case an attachment comes back. The original staff member receives the response email plus the original job attachment. - even though it was not in the reply from the contractor. The attachment is not in the action in the helpdesk either.

Is this how the Job_Attachments_Attach tag works? Any job attachment is sent all the time??

I've also noticed if the contractor DOES have an attachment in the reply, the attachment is registered with the action correctly and is accessible in the HMP desktop , but the original attachment is still passed back to the staff member - not the one sent by the contractor. It almost as if we need an Action_Attachments_Attach tag.

I hope this makes sense.

What I would like to see with <Job_Attachments_Attach> or a similar tag - is if there is an attachment to a processed email, it gets passed through in the Email Template - but if there is no attachment - then it doesn't. Receiving the original attachment all the time is quite confusing.

Again, I hope this makes sense - it is a little hard to explain

Cheers

Al.
