Hi Nimjim and welcome to the HelpMaster Pro discussion boards!

The user name is "evansm" or "admin" with no password on either. What industry are you in? Feel free to send me an email with your contact details to sales@prd-software.com.au so I can give you a call.

Regards,

Scott

Hi shummel,

Once you have the HelpMaster Pro logon screen visible, you should be able to logon with the following

Username : ADMIN

The password is blank, so just press enter and you should log on. If not, please let us know what is happening so we can help.

Best regards,
Rod

Shummel,

Welcome to the HelpMaster Pro discussion board! The REAL username is as above - evansm or admin.

Leave the password blank. Make sure you check the "Populate with sample data" checkbox when creating the sample database (with the Database and Reports wizard).

The last thing to check is under the Database tab on the login screen. Ensure you have the sample database in the list and select it. If it's not there after you have created it, click the 'New' button and follow the prompts to create a new connection to an existing database.

Please feel free to send me an email with your contact details so I can arrange a demonstration or help you get your help desk up and running.

Have fun!

Scott

I've just been playing around with the demo database and found out something interesting that will affect logon.

If the database creation process failed during the data population sequence - that is, the database schema was created, but the data population process failed, then the logon process will fail, regardless of what logon / password combination you use.

If anyone is having difficulty logging in with the default accounts, it's very possible that there was a problem during the database creation process. If this is the case, try re-running the HelpMaster Pro database and reports wizard again and create another database.

Hope this helps,

Rod
