Here's a configuration that can be used when you have a process that requires approval that is based on a file attachment.
A user logs a service request / ticket / job etc. via the web portal and uploads an attachment/document as part of the initial logging process. At some point in the life-cycle of the request, an approval needs to be requested from a manager, and that manager needs to view the attachment that is linked to the ticket.
Currently the HelpMaster workflow web approval does not display any attachments that are linked to the job/action as part of the approval (future version), however there is an effective work-around that can be used.
Approval Email Templates
When an approval request is sent, the out-going email is based on an email template. Like all email templats in HelpMaster, if the "attachments tag" is added to the attachments tab in the email template, then all out-going email will contain any file attachments that are linked to the job, or action.
When the approver receives the request, the email will contain the attachment, as well as the link to make the approval.
