Thanks to a couple of clients that prematurely installed Vista SP1 (which is released only for developers at this stage), we have found that it will prevent the HelpMaster Pro Desktop application from working entirely! We are investigating the issue now, but highly recommend that you do not install SP1 if you have the HelpMaster Pro v8 Desktop installed. If it can be uninstalled, this should solve the problem temporarily, otherwise try setting the HelpMaster Pro Desktop application to XP compatibility mode. We will keep you informed of our progress on rectifying this situation. Thanks.

One of our conscientious developers has discovered the cause of this problem. Vista SP1 had blacklisted our code obfuscation 3rd party components. Nice to know that it wasn't our code that was causing the problem. After obtaining an update to their code and rebuilding HelpMaster Pro the problem was resolved! The fixed version of HelpMaster Pro is still not publically available so please do not install Vista SP1 until a maintenance release version of HelpMaster Pro equal to, or greater than v8.0.13.898 is made publically available, and your organisation is in a position to update to this version. If you subscribe to our 'Announcements' forum and enable email notifications, you will receive notification as soon as it's available.
