Change in a custum Field within assets

    If you make aan change in Custom filed within a asset (change the value) will this change affect al the assets with this type off custum field? (will the change affect the other assets or in the worst case all the assets will lose the custum field)

    Hi,

    If you make a change to the name of a custom field in the System Codes Administration screen, all assets (clients, sites, jobs) that are using that custom field will display that change.

    If you want existing assets to retain their value, you will need to create a new custom field, and then select that field for the asset that require it.
