For the up-coming November release of HelpMaster, we've updated the Job Templates so that they can be configured as "Web Forms".

This mode is useful if you are exclusively using Control Sets to capture user input.  In such a case, it may be desireable to hide the Job summary and details text-boxes from the main logging screen.  This new feature allows the you to configure HelpMaster to populate the summary and details text boxes of the job with content from one or more control set values.

This makes it easier to view, search, group and sort data later.

Update the Job Template and check the "Web form" checkbox.  Select which fields from the control set should be populated into the summary and details.

Now the job logging screen does not display the summary and details.

After submitting the job, the summary and details are automatically populated as per the configuration.

Just further to this topic....if using workflow to log a new job from a job that already contains control sets, and you are using the option to transfer/copy control set data to the new job, it may be desireable to populate the summary and/or the details of the new job with values from the control sets from the original.

Here's a way to do that via the workflow object called "Set variable from a Control Set"

(Right-click the image and Select "View Image" etc) to view a larger/version of this)
