You're back! Good to hear from you again and welcome to the new website for HelpMaster Pro. I hope your maternity leave went well - it probably wasn't long enough right? Getting back to work must be a big change for you and your family.

Yes, we've been busy the last few months (years..) and the new version of HelpMaster Pro is now out. In fact, the next feature release 8.1 is on the horizon also.

Sorry to say that the knowledge base codes that we discussed have not been implemented for v8. In the upcoming 8.1 release we've done a bit of work to the knowledge base in terms of linking articles to jobs, clients, assets and sites, but the codes we haven't touched. Don't worry though, this is definately something that we'll be implementing, and now that you're back, perhaps it would be good to drill down deeper into the design and see what we can do. No one really responded to the initial post on the old discussion board, so I guess we were holding off on redesigning this aspect of the product until we received a bit more community feedback about it.

Personally I think that the knowledge base part of HelpMaster Pro is an area with huge potential to be improved and I would really like to see it become a major feature in future releases.

Sounds like a worthy task - hope it goes well.  Let me know your experiences with it.

One thing to note is that the new v8 web interface implementation of the knowledge base is greatly improved, particularly with the searching and ranking of the articles. Here's a screen snap
