    Hi,

We currently have Helpmaster version 9.1.5.212 packaged up for deployment to our Windows 7 environment. At the start the deployment was working fine. However since it was first deployed we have recieved an update via our WSUS server for "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile" which we have applied to our Windows 7 workstations. Since putting this patch on Help Master has stopped working. When you try to launch it we get a .NET Framework Initialzation Error stating "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application." As soon as we uninstall the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile patch it starts working again.

Do later versions of Helpmaster support .Net 4? Do you have any advice for getting around this issue so that we can have this .Net 4 update installed and run Helpmaster?

    Thanks,

This issue is also present when installing the latest version of Helpmaster Pro as well. Ver 9.1.7.229.

Thanks to our friends at John Sands we have a work-around for the Dot.Net v4.0 Framework problems. Please go to the following Knowledge base article. Follow the instructions and download the attached file and HelpMaster should then work fine with the v4.0 Framework.
