    Article in today's SMH

    says Microsoft

"faces a future that could prove even more challenging - retaining dominance in the face of a seemingly insurmountable threat from Google."

Well Bill had to go some time, and I'm sure Windows will be around for many years to come. But as HelpMaster is an application that is enmeshed with Windows technologies do you think there'll be ripple effects, in some measure, at some stage down the line?

What about the Mac rising like a Phoenix from the dust? My household is entirely mac - even my 4 year old - and I had to bastardise the citrix setup so i could work remotely.

How does PRD see the future ? In playschool terms, which Windows shall we look through today?

Bill has left the building.  What a legacy.

Ironic that in the eyes of some he has created the worlds largest, most diabolical and widespread virus there ever was - Windows, in order to go off and fight virii of a biological nature.  I enjoyed the sarcasm of another person on the SMH site that he'll probably release new viruses so that he can then release a new updated "anti-virus" to correct the problem.  It seems to be a business model that he's familiar with ;-)

Seriously though, I think Bill has done a great job.  He's a visionary no doubt, and I'm sure that with his drive, money and influence, he'll have an interesting time in a different industry.  It will be interesting to see how Apple and the open source market fare in the next few years.  The IT scene has definately changed and the pendulum is swinging.

Regarding HelpMaster Pro and PRD Software, we're definately in the Microsoft corner, and we've got some big things coming up for future releases, using a lot of the new Microsoft technology.

In playschool terms?  Today let's look through the Window emitting the SilverLight.
