As the workflow capabilities of HelpMaster continue to improve, one of the things that we've been seeing from users of HelpMaster is building processes to support a HR new employee on-boarding experience.

This process is a great start in a digital transformation journey and introducing HelpMaster to other parts of the business outside of just IT.

The HelpMaster development team is currently doing a lot of development in updating the workflow engine, and building new workflow objects such as Approvals, Groups, better support for milestones, and a brand new workflow interface that wil appear as a panel on the front tab of a job.

    process workflow groups

New grouping for workflow objects allows you to segment logical parts of a process together.  Groups can be coloured, named, and have a description.

New styling for workflow objects.  New markers for "Runs silently" workflow objects.  Better support for multiple selection.

New "Simple Approval" workflow object allows you to send an approval request to someone.  They will receive an email with the details of the approval request, along with a hyperlink to the web portal to cast their vote.

    Workflow panel for approval

A new workflow panel replaces the old "Workflow" button system.  The workflow panel will always display the current state of the workflow, and display information and guidance as per the workflow documentation.  It will also display any milestones that have passed.

    Workflow is king!

Workflow is here to stay!  Every version of HelpMaster going forward will continue to build on the workflow capabilities to make it stronger, faster and deliver more value to your business.

If you haven't started with HelpMaster workflow, now is a great time to check it out and get on board.

We'd love to hear how you've used the workflow and hear your ideas for product improvement.
