I hope someone can help me.  We have just started using the Web module and have found that for certain things it works quite well, but for other things it looks like Helpmaster breaks.

I am able to search for jobs, open them and action them.  However whenever there is a multi-page list of jobs and I attempt to navigate to the next page, I get a spinning Helpmaster Pro logo and nothing else.  This also occurs in the Helpdesk explorer, on first opening the explorer, it shows the first 10 jobs which I can open and action accordingly.  As soon as I click on any other folder, it shows the spinning logo and I cannot do anything else. Whenever I receive the spinning logo, the only thing I can do is click on Home.

I see the following error in the bottom left-hand side of the browser:

    Webpage error details
    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2)
    Timestamp: Wed, 2 Sep 2009 01:47:46 UTC
    Message: Access is denied.

    Line: 1
    Char: 7546
    Code: 0
    URI: https://serverpath/HelpMa...t=633767876660000000

This occurs under different versions of IE (7 & 8).

I have re-installed the web module but am still getting the same symptoms.  Did I forget to install some prerequisite?  Any help you can give would be great.

    Hi Lisa

We are not experiencing the same issue here, seems to work as we would expect.  We are running IE 7.0.6002.18005 with HMP 9.0.3.416.

    Regards

    Hi Lisa,

    Thanks for your post.

This sounds like an issue that has recently been addressed. What version of HelpMaster Pro are you using?

Have you seen what's new in v12.0 yet?

    Hi Lisa,

I was also not able to reproduce the issue using v9.0.3 and the paging behaviour seems to be working as expected.

Could you please initiate a support call by emailing details to support@prd-software.com.au and we will look into this issue further? Please make reference to this post in your email and attach any additional info, screenshots etc. that might be helpful.

    Hi

We are experiencing the same issue - but not for everyone.

I've tried it from a remote computer using both IE and Firefox and can't replicate the issue, but users in our Sydney Office cannot move between pages

Is this something that has improved with version 9.x ?  (we're still on 8.0.17)

    Cheers

    Scott

We'd encourage everyone to upgrade to HelpMaster v12.  Apart from removing the "spinning Helpmaster Pro logo", there are lots of subtle improvements made in respect to page navigation, response time and better user interactivity (Ajax-ification) in general.

The deployment of the HelpMaster web application has also been greatly simplified, automating most of the steps previously required to be performed manually.

If you haven't yet done so already, we strongly encourage you to give it a go and let us know your thoughts on these changes and your feedback on what you'd like to see in future releases.  Here's the link to the demo site for your evaluation:  https://prdsoftware.com/helpmasterdemo .
