IIS Error on Helpmaster Pro 11.12.15

    Hi all, 

    I have installed HelpMaster Pro 11.12.15. I was able to install the desktop and works smoothly, while the web version is not working. In IIS 7.5, there is a website created as winLogin, In that when i right click on authentication and choose "open feature".... It says "There was an errror while performing this operation

    Details: Filename: \\?\c:\inetpub\wwwroot\helpmaster Web Interface\WinLogin\web.config

    Line number: 6

    Error : There is a duplicate 'system.web.extensions/scripting/scriptResourcehandler' section defined "

    What's this .... i checked in the wwwroot folder there are two web.config on at the "Helpmaster Web Interface" folder level

    and another in the "WinLogin" folder level ???

    Please help ???

    Hi Chandrasekar,

    Could you please check using IIS manager what .Net Framework Version your HelpMaster application pool loading? Please try setting it to v2.0 in case it's set to something else and then recycle/restart the HelpMaster app pool.  Now try again to see if the error still occurrs or not. 

    It is recommanded that you create your own HelpMaster application pool/s rather that using the default one, which might be shared by other apps and hence can interfere.  If you need further assistance then do not hesitate to email your queries to support@prdsoftware.com.au .

     Hi, 

            Thanks for the expeditious reply. It worked fine. Now when i start the HelpMaster Web configuration manager .... It complains that  "HelpMaster image virtual directory has not been configured. Please configure the helpmaster images virtual directory and try again. " What is this ..I also checked for help in the help file.

    Hi Chandrasekar,

    Here is the link to the on-line help topic for configuring the HTML Images Virtual Directory.

    This must be done prior to running the HelpMaster Web Configuration Manager. The UNC path defined here must match exactly your HTML Images working folder location defined from HelpMaster under "System Administration" > "Working folder locations" for it to appear. Thanks.
