Just got this email in via our support inbox....

Hello Dev team,

It would be great to be able to copy images directly into a job. Often clients will send a support request in via email and have a screenshot/Snip inserted directly into their email. While I know it is possible to attach documents etc to a job using the attachments button, it would be very handy to be able to paste the entire email into a job so it is viewable without having to view via the attachments tab.

Yes we'd love to see this and the ability to see coloured text etc which we've discussed before!

This would be a great addition to hmpro. We too often get emails with screen shots or alternatively we reply/resolve an issue with our screenshot - a picture saying a thousand words. This would greatly improve the things we currently do

Hi everyone,

Obviously a hot request here.  We'll add this to our list of things to do.

In the meantime, check out the new attachments and image processing in the upcoming v10.

Please keep the votes and ideas coming!

Rod.

We really like the concept of the attachment / image handling in the upcoming v10, but as per previous comments, we would find the functionality of a streamlined method of attaching screenshots to jobs much more benefitial than for example client photos.

It's been on our wish list for a while and we will look forward to it's implementation in the new version.

Keep up the great work devs!

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the kind words. The code has been running hot here at PRD the last few week as we're trying to get v10 released. The new-look attachments will fully support drag 'n drop, so you can simply drag an attachment into a job, or even out of a job.

The drag and drop even works for email - very cool.

Also, if you're using the Email Manager, the original email will be displayed as an attachment. This is configurable, so if you don't want this, you can turn it off.

Thanks again,
Rod
