HelpMaster is in a constant state of development, and updates are released periodically. Releases fall into 2 types as listed below.
Maintenance releases
Maintenance releases are bug-fix, or stabilization releases. They are released as required. When a maintenance release is compiled, the 3rd digit on the HelpMaster version will be incremented by 1.
eg. v11.0.0 becomes v11.0.1
Maintenance releases do not includes any new functionality. They only address issues detected in a previous version. Maintenance releases are always available to download from the HelpMaster website.
Feature releases
Feature releases contain something new. It might be a new feature, or an enhancement of existing features. 2 feature releases are scheduled to be released within a calendar year. When a feature release is compiled, the 2nd digit on the HelpMaster version will be incremented by 1, and the 3rd digit will be reset back to 0.
eg. v11.0.3 becomes v11.1.0
Feature releases are always available to download from the HelpMaster website, and are only available to those with a current "Regular", or "Premium" annual maintenance subscription. For those on Community support, an upgrade can be purchased at a discounted rate. See Annual Maintenance Subscription for further details.
