Don't get caught in 'dll hell' when installing HelpMaster Pro. Follow this simple advice for a better outcome.

I have helped quite a number of clients install Helpmaster Pro now, over several years, and the single biggest issue confronting the installer is 'out-of-date' software and drivers.

Microsoft have probably not endeared themselves to IT personnel everywhere with some of the 'mistakes of the past', but their software does generally work best when it has the latest service packs. PRD try to ensure that the compile machines and testing environment have the current releases; if possible so should the client machines.

Before installing HelpMaster Pro we recommend the removal of any beta software and the updating of the operating system of the client machines and the server.

While not providing any guarantees, these simple first steps may make the process run much better.
