Hi,
I'm trying to pull together a report that contains a set of specific assets and which clients they are linked to. In this report, I also need to pull out a specific custom field that is defined against the asset - in which tables can I find the custom field information and how is it linked to the assets?
Thanks in advance,
Daryl.

Never mind,
i've managed to pull the detail through by modifying the view qryAssetConfigurationDetails
and copying/inserting one of the existing statements modified as follows:
CASE tblSystemCodes.Caption WHEN '
' THEN detailValue ELSE NULL END
Daryl.

Hi Daryl,
Good to hear that you've figured it out. You can also find custom asset information in the "qryCrossTabCustomDetails_Asset" view in the database. This view is a cross-tab query that displays all of the custom information is a very easy-to-use format. If you like you can link that view (or a copy of it) into any of the reporting views. Reporting view are those that are prefixed by "rpt".
Often it's better to query information via a view rather than the base table. The advantage of using a view is that many of the links (if not all) are already defined and all you have to do is reference the view in your reporting solution.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further help and I'll be glad to help.
Best regards,
Rod
