Recently we've been getting a number of errors come through from people that have been trying to upgrade their existing HelpMaster Pro database using the Database and Reports Wizard.  The error is happening right at the last stage after you click the "Run Upgrade" button.

Usually errors caused during the backup process are caused by insufficient SQL Server, or network permissions.  Often this is because the upgrade process is being carried out on a separate "test" domain, or network and the database or network permission have not been transferred over with the database.

Here's a work-around to bypass the database backup.

Just before clicking the "Run Upgrade" button, click the CTRL key.  This will bypass the backup process.

Note: If you're going to use this bypass, please ensure that you do a manual backup via the SQL Server Management Studio.  You'll need this backup if anything goes wrong with the upgrade.

    Hope this helps.
