Sometimes it is necessary to upgrade your HelpMaster SQL Server database.  This is usually only necessary during major product upgrades, although sometimes it is required for a maintenance release.  The version history and release notes will let you know when a database upgrade is necessary.

When your database does require updating, you always use the HelpMaster Database and Reports Wizard to do the job.  The Database and Reports Wizard can be installed when you installed HelpMaster.  It is contained in the main HelpMaster download.

No data is ever lost during a database upgrade.
