Reading through the v8 help file, I was hoping the AD integration might also allow an automated web module licence alloaction to new users synced from AD to HMP, but couldn't see anything?

The help file does indicate that if a client self registers on the web module, and there is a spare licence, they are granted access. We however don't allow self registration, as all our clients are internal company employees, so have been adding user to AD, HMP then allocating CAL.

Is there any streamlining in v8? Would be great to not have to remember to allocate a CAL to new AD user!

Cheers, looking forward to full release, improvements look good!

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the discussion board!

This is an excellent suggestion and I'm sure many HelpMaster Pro users would benefit from this improvement to the Active Directory module. I'll add this to the wish list for sure.

Full release is not too far away now. We've received a lot of feedback already and we're just fixing up a few minor issues and working on the helpfile.

    Best regards,

    Hi Peter,

Your wish has been implemented... In fact, we are hoping to upload a new version of the Release Candidate this afternoon which will have this feature in it...

It has been implemented as an option under 'Create clients' for profiles - you can elect to either allocate CALs (if available - if they are exhausted, none will be allocated), or alternatively create the clients without CALs associated with them.

I hope you find this change useful - you will notice a number of other improvements also. And, as always, we appreciate your feedback.

    Kind Regards,
