No problem - we can stretch it out a bit. Does that mean that you've got over a hundred thousand jobs logged in your system, or is it simply a numbering convention that's pushed it out like this?

Sometimes companies like to use the year + the job number.

eg.

20080001 = First job logged in 2008
20080010 = 10th job logged in 2008
20090001 = 1st job logged in 2009

etc.

You can use the "Set next job number" feature in the system administration > database tab to achieve this..

Quick update on this.  We're just about to release a maintenance release that includes this minor adjustment.  How does this look?

By my calculations, at your current rate of logging jobs, this should be good enough until about the year 2873!
