If you go to Facebook and enter some ones email address in the search bar it does a scan and returns the public Facebook name and profile picture.

I tried a little test app the other day, that does a scan of my email address and returns my Facebook profile picture which can be added to my HelpMaster client record.

We could try creating an addin that looked at all our HelpMaster clients and tried their work email address and also their home address (if this is a field recorded in HelpMaster)  to see if we could find a public Facebook profile picture and then add that picture to the HelpMaster client.

The question is would people find this a violation of their privacy, this is a public picture that any one can access if they know their email address or with a little more searching their full name.

But if you logged in to HelpMaster and all of a sudden your Facebook picture had been set as your HelpMaster client Image, would you feel like this is something that has gone a step too far.
Or are most people aware this picture is publicly available and find this a nice touch to be able to automatically set some of your client images rather then having the generic gender based pictures that will be on most of your clients now.

This will probably never actually be developed because if even a few people don't like the idea of borrowing their Facebook picture then we don't want to offend anyone or violate their privacy.
But it would be good to hear some thoughs about this.
