Some good questions here.

When a Template Action is used to send an Email template and the email is addressed to "Primary client", or similar, HelpMaster Pro will query all of the available email addresses for that client and order them by a column in the database in the system codes table. The default values for this order is "Business email" first, then "Home email", and then any other email addresses that have been defined. Currently you cannot choose which email address type to specifically use. Perhaps we can consider this for a future update.

Similarly, the Email Manager will scan all email addresses associated with a client. It will start with the Business address, then work through the home and other email addresses looking for a match. If an email field in the client details textbox has a composite email address - that is, something like "email1@business.com;email2@business.com", it will also look through these.
