When running the active directory sync I get an error message that string or binary data will be truncated and there are no users added to helpmaster pro. Any suggestions.

       at HMP.ActiveDirectory.Manager.clsADFunctions.RunProfile(clsActiveDirectoryProfile p_clsADProfile)
       at HMP.ActiveDirectory.Manager.clsADService.a(Boolean b, String& b)'

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the HelpMaster community.

Can you please let me know which version of HelpMaster you're running?

This error occurs when the data you're extracting from your AD is too large for the database columns within the HelpMaster database.  The attached SQL script can be run against your HelpMaster database (using SQL Server Management Studio), and it will increase the size of the AD table columns to their maximum.  This should fix the issue.

Please let me know if after running this patch the problem continues.

    Best regards,

    Rod

    Thanks Rod

I am running the evaluation copy of version 9.

I will run the script and see how I go.

    Cheers

Thanks for the confirmation - good to hear it worked. Sounds like you're using v9.0. The recently released v9.1 contains this fix.
